About JAPL

Organisation Profile

In July 1987 JAPL started operating as a home-based business, under the name of Jaatinen Associates, to provide management systems Consulting, Training and Auditing services mainly for Australian Defence related industries. In July 1996 the business was incorporated as Jaatinen Associates Pty Ltd and in August 2003, changed its name to JAPL Pty Limited.

Today, JAPL is an internationally focused business providing Products and Services consisting of:

  • Auditing Services for second and third party certification of quality, environmental and safety management systems.
  • Consulting Services for management systems development.

  • Maintenance Services for integrated quality, environmental and safety management systems.

JAPL provides best value to its Clients through globally positioned partnerships that specialise in Project Management, Web Development, Quality, Environmental and OHS & R Management activities.

JAPL has had an affiliation with a number of third party certification bodies and memberships with the following organisations:

Management System Requirements

AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organisation:

  • Needs to demonstrate its capability to consistently provide product that meets Client and applicable regulatory requirements; and

  • Aims to enhance Client satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to Client and applicable regulator.

JAPL embraces these concepts by matching the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 Standard to its own Business Management System documentation, captured in the Business Manual.
